Our holiday break started a little bit early due to a blizzard that brought over 12 inches of snow and kept Kevin from going to work that one last day before the holidays. We decided that Audrey should get her first present a little bit early given the blizzard and all. I wish I would have gotton a picture of her outside that day because a 3 year old snow shoeing is kind of funny. It actually took us so much effort to get the kids out the door all bundled up and with Audrey wearing the snowshoes that there was no way I was going back inside for the camera.
Three cheers for adult conversation!
Three cheers for adult conversation! The cousins got together the night before the big Christmas party for drinks and catching up. Hooray for new traditions! This is actually the only picture I have from the holidays with my sisters, Brian and Ed all together.
We attempted to take a picture of the great grandchildren and here's to show that taking a picture with five one years olds, two three year old and a six year old is no easy task!
The dads try to get them 'organized'. Good luck!
Liam and Aiden as reindeer.
Uncle Bob led us all is the Twelve Days of Christmas. Audrey is a big fan of this tradition. Aunt Kathie even got the kids books to follow along with. Now we can hear it all year round at our house....Joy! We'll be sure to bring the book next year.
Audrey is dancing with pure bliss and enthusiasm with her cousins.
Aunt MaryEllen attempts to provide some calm and quiet entertainment!
This is what Kevin would look like with fraternal twins in matching outfits.
Will checks out the tree with Auntie Maureen
Audrey and Ed chill out (literally...poor Ed..it was really cold for a California guy) on the couch the next morning. Audrey put all of her 'friends' around Ed's head to keep him company. I bet Ed has never snoozed on the couch with Seasame Street playing in the background.
Opening presents at my Mom and Dad's was a riot...literally. The kids were so excited and there were paper and presents everywhere. I really don't have any pictures because I was just trying to 'embrace the chaos'.
Audrey and Aiden try on some of the animal masks we got for Aiden while Aunt Maureen captures the moment. Presents with immediate gratification are always fun.
We know you really miss the snow Auntie Meghan.
Hooray for snow and outdoor entertainment!

Opening presents!
Will plays with the new train set the Santa brought to him and Audrey.
Visiting Grandma Suzie.
Hooray for more present opening with cousins Rhett and Ava.

We were supposed to go to Green Bay for Christmas Eve but the weather was terrible....pretty from inside but not great for driving. We went to Mass at four and Will spiked a fever during church with a horrible cold. It was a quiet night at our house but we made cookies for Santa and that's all a three year old cares about anyway.

In one week we:
Had a blizzard
Had dinner with Meghan, Brian, Liam, Aiden, Nolan, Grammy and Grandpa Tom
Went sledding and snowshoeing
Watched more snow fall
Went out with the cousins
Maureen and Ed stayed at our house
Went out to lunch and tried on bridesmaid dresses
Celebrated Christmas and opened presents at Grammy and Grandpa's house
More snow...that means more shoveling and snowblowing for Kevin!
Played out in the snow with cousins (sand toys do come in handy in the winter)
Said goodbye to Meghan and company
Went to Christmas Eve Mass
Made cookies with lots of sugar sprinkles
Opened presents from Santa
Had breakfast at Grandma and Grandpa's house and said goodbye to Maureen and Ed
Went to Aunt MaryEllen's for Christmas dinner
I can't remember what happened the next day....probably more snow. Maybe a nap and a trip tot he gym to work off some cabin fever?
Went to Green Bay to visit Grandma Suzie and Buppa and then on to the urgent care in DePere where Will was diagnosed with a double ear infection and then to Walgreens for meds and then to Grandpa Pat and Grandma Linda's to see Auntie Kelly, Uncle Rex, Ava, Rhett, and Auntie Chrissy.
On the 10th day we rested and played with all of the new toys.
